ALEX NEARLY GRABS A WIN AT WVSO

Alex enjoyed a successful outing in his first-ever appearance on a ¼ mile track in a full-size stock car.  Running at the high-bank Wenatchee Valley Super Oval in the Big 5 series gave Alex a high-caliber group of cars to test his short-track skills in the crate-engine #28.  An uninspired qualifying run meant Alex started on the inside of the 3rd row of the full-invert field of 15 cars for the 100-lap feature.  A first lap wreck created a complete restart and the full invert again caused problems that saw three mid-pack cars go to the pits on for repairs after lap two.  A few double-file restarts kept the field close for most of the race, and Alex gained valuable experience.   Alex followed the Big 5 series points leaders, Joe Constance and Shane Mitchell to the checker for a quality 3rd place finish.

Alex had a good car and tried some new stuff on the setup at Evergreen, but a spin and a burnt clutch cut his race short.
